Membership Agreement

Welcome to The Grotto Membership Program. Our memberships are designed to make consistent massage therapy and self-care easier while providing members with preferred pricing and additional benefits.
This Membership Agreement explains the terms that apply to your membership with The Grotto. By enrolling in a membership, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below, along with The Grotto’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cancellation & Appointment Policy.
1. Membership Options
The Grotto currently offers three monthly membership options:
The Grotto 60 — $120/month
Includes:
- One customized 60-minute massage per monthly billing cycle
- Choice of any eligible 60-minute Massage Experience
- One complimentary eligible enhancement with the included monthly massage
- Additional massages at the applicable member rate
- One-Cycle Rollover
The Grotto 90 — $180/month
Includes:
- One customized 90-minute massage per monthly billing cycle
- Choice of any eligible 90-minute Massage Experience
- One complimentary eligible enhancement with the included monthly massage
- Additional massages at the applicable member rate
- One-Cycle Rollover
The Grotto 120 — $240/month
Includes:
- One customized 120-minute massage per monthly billing cycle
- Choice of any eligible 120-minute Massage Experience
- One complimentary eligible enhancement with the included monthly massage
- Additional massages at the applicable member rate
- One-Cycle Rollover
Memberships are associated with the individual member and may not be transferred, shared, sold, or resold unless specifically approved by The Grotto.
2. Membership Enrollment & Automatic Renewal
Your membership begins on the date of enrollment unless another start date is specified at the time of purchase.
Memberships are billed monthly on a recurring basis.
By enrolling, you authorize The Grotto and its payment-processing providers to automatically charge the payment method associated with your account for your selected membership:
- The Grotto 60 — $120/month
- The Grotto 90 — $180/month
- The Grotto 120 — $240/month
Your membership will automatically renew each month until canceled in accordance with this Agreement.
You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method on your account.
If a payment is declined or cannot be processed, The Grotto may attempt to process the payment again. Membership benefits may be temporarily suspended until the outstanding balance has been paid.
3. Included Monthly Massage
Each successful monthly membership payment provides one massage of the duration associated with your selected membership.
Members may select from eligible Massage Experiences offered by The Grotto in the duration included with their membership.
“Choose Any Massage Experience” refers to eligible massage services available in the applicable duration. Certain specialty, premium, promotional, package-based, or future services may be excluded or may require an additional charge.
Services are also subject to therapist availability, appropriateness for the individual client, contraindications, and other reasonable service limitations.
Upgrades, additional time, enhancements beyond those included with the membership, or services outside the membership benefits may result in additional charges.
4. One-Cycle Rollover
We understand that schedules change. If you do not use your included monthly massage during the billing cycle in which it is earned, that massage may roll over into the immediately following billing cycle.
This is a One-Cycle Rollover benefit.
An unused massage does not continue accumulating indefinitely. A rolled-over massage must be used during the immediately following billing cycle or it will expire, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
For example, if your monthly massage earned in October is not used during October, it may be used during your November billing cycle. If it remains unused at the end of that following billing cycle, it expires.
As a result, an active member may generally have no more than the current month’s included massage plus one valid rolled-over massage available at a time.
Rolled-over massages:
- Have no cash value
- Cannot be exchanged for a refund or account credit
- May not be sold, shared, or transferred without approval from The Grotto
- Remain subject to appointment availability
5. Cancellation & Remaining Earned Massages
If you cancel your membership, future recurring charges will stop in accordance with the cancellation provisions below.
Any valid, unused massage that was already earned through a successfully paid membership billing cycle may be redeemed for up to 60 days following the effective end of your membership.
This 60-day redemption period does not create additional massage credits or restore massages that had already expired under the One-Cycle Rollover policy before the membership ended.
After the applicable 60-day period, any remaining unused membership massages will expire, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Any outstanding balance owed to The Grotto must be paid before remaining membership services may be redeemed.
6. Complimentary Enhancement
Each membership includes one complimentary eligible enhancement with the included monthly massage.
Eligible enhancements are determined by The Grotto and may vary based on the service selected, therapist availability, contraindications, or other reasonable considerations.
Unless otherwise stated, complimentary enhancements do not accumulate or roll over if unused and have no cash value.
A complimentary enhancement cannot be exchanged for cash, account credit, a reduction in membership fees, or another service unless specifically approved by The Grotto.
7. Additional Massages at Member Rate
Active members may purchase eligible additional massages at The Grotto’s applicable member rate.
Member pricing is available only while the membership is active and in good standing.
Additional massages purchased at the member rate do not create additional monthly membership credits or rollover benefits unless specifically stated otherwise.
Unless specifically stated, member pricing cannot be combined with another discount, promotional offer, or special pricing.
Member discounts and benefits have no cash value and cannot be applied retroactively to purchases made before membership enrollment.
8. Scheduling & Appointment Availability
All appointments are subject to availability.
Membership does not guarantee a particular appointment time, therapist, day, or frequency of availability.
Members are encouraged to schedule in advance, particularly for evenings, weekends, longer services, or appointments with a preferred therapist.
Membership services may be provided by any appropriately qualified therapist available through The Grotto.
9. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows
Membership appointments remain subject to The Grotto’s Cancellation & Appointment Policy.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged up to 100% of the scheduled service price.
A member who does not arrive for a scheduled appointment and does not contact The Grotto beforehand will be considered a no-show and will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.
Appointments Using a Membership Massage
If a no-show occurs for an appointment being redeemed with an included or rolled-over membership massage, that massage will be considered used and redeemed.
For a cancellation or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice, The Grotto may consider the applicable membership massage redeemed or assess an applicable cancellation fee, depending on the circumstances.
We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances occur. Exceptions may be made at The Grotto’s discretion consistent with our Cancellation & Appointment Policy.
10. Membership Cancellation
There is no long-term commitment unless specifically stated otherwise at enrollment.
You may cancel your membership before your next scheduled billing date to prevent the next recurring membership charge.
Cancellation stops future recurring charges but does not automatically refund membership fees that have already been processed.
Your active membership benefits remain available through the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.
Valid unused massages remaining when the membership ends are subject to the 60-day redemption provision described in this Agreement.
Cancellation requests must be submitted using a cancellation method made available by The Grotto. We recommend submitting your request before your next billing date to allow sufficient time for processing.
11. Membership Pauses
The Grotto may allow a membership to be temporarily paused for circumstances such as extended travel, medical needs, pregnancy, military obligations, or other situations approved by The Grotto.
Pause requests are subject to approval and any conditions communicated when the pause is granted.
During an approved pause, recurring billing and some or all membership benefits may be temporarily suspended.
The treatment of any existing massage credit during an approved pause will be communicated when the pause is approved so the member understands how expiration and rollover will be handled.
12. Refunds
Membership payments that have already been processed are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where The Grotto determines that a refund is appropriate.
Failure to schedule or use an included massage or membership benefit does not, by itself, entitle the member to a refund.
Unused massages are instead governed by the One-Cycle Rollover and post-cancellation provisions of this Agreement.
13. Upgrading or Downgrading Membership
Members may request to change to another available membership level.
Changes to membership level, price, billing, or benefits will take effect according to the terms communicated when the change is requested.
An existing massage credit retains its original duration and does not automatically convert to the duration associated with a new membership.
For example, an unused 60-minute massage does not automatically become a 90-minute massage if the member upgrades to The Grotto 90.
When available, The Grotto may allow a member to pay the applicable difference to upgrade an eligible massage to a longer duration.
14. Membership Price & Benefit Changes
The Grotto may occasionally modify membership pricing, benefits, or membership terms as the business and its offerings evolve.
When a change materially affects an existing member’s recurring membership, The Grotto will provide appropriate advance notice before the change takes effect.
Members who do not wish to continue under materially revised terms may cancel before the revised terms become effective.
Changes will not retroactively remove massages or benefits already earned or purchased except as permitted by this Agreement and applicable law.
15. Membership Termination by The Grotto
The Grotto reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership for reasons including:
- Repeated failed or unpaid membership charges
- Fraudulent or unauthorized use of membership benefits
- Abuse or misuse of membership privileges
- Harassment, threatening behavior, inappropriate conduct, or violations of professional boundaries
- Repeated violations of The Grotto’s policies
- Other conduct that reasonably interferes with the safe, professional, or appropriate operation of The Grotto
If The Grotto terminates a membership, future recurring charges will stop.
Unused prepaid services or remaining balances will be handled in accordance with this Agreement and applicable law.
16. Massage Therapy & Health Considerations
Membership does not guarantee that massage therapy or any particular service will be appropriate for every client at every appointment.
Members are responsible for informing their therapist of relevant injuries, health conditions, pregnancy, medications, allergies, changes in health status, or other information that may affect the safety or appropriateness of a service.
The Grotto and its massage therapists do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medical treatment.
Massage therapy is not a substitute for appropriate medical diagnosis, treatment, or care.
17. Privacy & Payment Processing
Membership, booking, client, and payment information may be processed through third-party providers used by The Grotto, including Mangomint.
Information is handled in accordance with The Grotto’s Privacy Policy and the applicable policies of our service providers.
18. Relationship to Other Grotto Policies
This Membership Agreement should be read together with The Grotto’s:
If a specific membership offer contains terms that differ from a general provision of this Agreement, the membership-specific terms presented at enrollment will govern that particular benefit or feature to the extent of the difference.
19. Changes to This Agreement
The Grotto may update this Membership Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in membership offerings, business practices, technology, policies, or legal requirements.
Material changes affecting existing recurring memberships will be communicated as appropriate before taking effect.
The current version of this Agreement will be made available through The Grotto.
20. Governing Law
This Membership Agreement is governed by the applicable laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

You understand that your selected membership will automatically renew each month and that the payment method associated with your account will be charged:

until you cancel your membership in accordance with this Agreement.
You understand that each successful monthly membership payment provides one massage of the duration associated with your selected membership.
You understand that an unused monthly massage may roll over for one additional billing cycle only and does not accumulate indefinitely.
You understand that your membership also includes one complimentary eligible enhancement with your included monthly massage and access to applicable member pricing on additional massages.
You acknowledge and agree to The Grotto’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cancellation & Appointment Policy.
By completing your membership enrollment, you authorize recurring monthly billing at the price associated with your selected membership until canceled.
